Harley shift levers have the same splines and hole size as our X and the
stock H-D levers are much more solid than the E-H levers. I am using one off of
a 2001 Deuce for the toe shifter. I removed the heel shifter as I don't use it
and it gets in the way of my boot. I covered the exposed shaft with a Custom
Chrome cap that that was made for the same purpose for the heel shifter removal
on Harleys. Its a little short to cover the whole length of the exposed shaft,
but I used a chrome washer and small 0-ring to fill in the gap and keep the
washer from rattling. I'm sure that aftermarket Harley shifters will fit just
fine if you want to customize that area of your X. |
