Crank Vent Option

I've just installed a new crank vent on my bike and thought I'd share some thoughts. I Tee'd into the dip stick filler tube using 1/2" copper

tubing and ran a vertical section of 3/4" copper up near the bottom of the seat. I'm using a generic automotive breather as an oil condenser

at the top of the 3/4" tube. Seems to work so far and I no longer have to worry about "wet air filters" or the engine wanting to suck oil

  vapor out of the crank.

I'm not sure the condenser is big enough, so I've made sure I've got the ability to add more element inside the 3/4" tube if I need to. The

goal is to have the oil vapor condense in the element and have the heavy particles return down the tube. This may make reading the dip

stick more dificult (why does that seem impossible)because the returning oil has to pass by the stick, oh well.

The riding season's over in Michigan, so I don't know when I'll be able to report on how sucessful this works.

I took some pictures and will post them in about a week or so.

I also installed xman's air filter assembly and it fit's and looks awesome (I painted it black). Good Job Bobby !!!!!
